Call me a Fiancee. My proposal was accepted, though the ring was the wrong size. Has this changed anything for me, no not really. Except now I’m being asked the question: When will the wedding be? Answer: haven’t gotten that far yet. The two ideas out there so far, a Buddhist Wedding officiated by our friend who is an Acharya in the Shambhala Lineage, or elope to Italy.

was the ring too small or too big? was it the diamond that was too small or the band that was too small? these are very important questions.

It was the band, and it was a half size too small…it is the correct size for what she has been sized before, but the ring must run sort of smallish. It’s an emerald and not a diamond. And the stone was just the right size, according my new fiancee.

Congrats – and I just saw your book recommendation to mind bending. I just stumbled upon Murakami, and am listening to kafka. Love it.

Bindi – that’s from an exhibit at an art museum, they kind of scare me too…maybe I’ll change the pic again.
Tim – I’m so happy you found Murakami, he’s great….I’m sad that I’ve read everything he wrote. I’ll have to move on to the new William Gibson.
thanks to both of you.
Laksmi – yes, we don’t do diamonds, I felt good about the decision.
